About the Artist

Who She is, & What Makes Her Unique

Alexandra Lee Mazzola, is a 28-year-old self-taught creative Autistic artist, located in Orlando, Florida. She is currently enrolled in a Master’s program for Art Therapy, with a strong desire and passion to make a positive impact wherever she goes. Being an Autistic artist has given her the capability to see the world and all of its life and nature in such a beautiful way, that others may not understand or see. This allows her to showcase and share through her artwork, the light she sees in everything that surrounds us. Being Autistic has also allowed her to continuously express her special interest of the Arts, and help others open their eyes to a new perspective.

What Inspires Her to Create

Alexandra is deeply inspired and connected to trees, nature, and animals, so the majority of her creations pertain to those. She is a strong believer that taking some time out in nature can truly help uplift your mood and spirits.

Sunrises & sunsets also inspire her:

she knows that with every sunset, comes a new beginning in the form of a new day. Each sunrise provides us with a chance to pause, reflect, and focus on the beauty that always surrounds us. This, in return, helps us feel more positive about our future in knowing that the sun will always rise after the darkest night, and we too, can rise from any darkness felt.

Where it All Started

Alexandra has been creating art ever since she was a very young girl; what started out to be only a hobby or a form of expression that words could not voice due to communication and social connection challenges, ended up turning into a life-long artistic journey of endlessly growing and strengthening her techniques. It all started, however, when she received and accepted a request for her very first art commission back in 2011, which helped her gain confidence in her talent and eventually motivate her to become a registered art business in the State of Florida in 2018.

“I try to spread hope, positivity, and joy through my artwork, so people see that there is always light within the darkness. My main purpose in this life that I have been given as an artist, is to help make people come out of their darkness and know in their hearts that joy will always find its way into their life after any difficult time…”

Using Art As Her Own Form of Healing:

Art has always been a form of emotional release for Alexandra, allowing the mind to relieve any and all stress, and has given her the ability to develop new relationships, become a better communicator, make a difference in peoples' lives, and help her personally with her own healing, emotional growth and well-being. This, in return, has given her the skills to pursue her career in Art Therapy further, helping her spread more hope for others that may need to overcome any challenges or struggles, including ones that she can relate to and has learned to overcame.

Her Future Goals

With experience in participation at numerous local art shows, craft fairs all around Connecticut and Florida, and being featured in various online exhibitions, she cannot wait to one day have her own art studio, and expand her services and business into one that is well-known across the world.

She is very eager and excited to share her services to children and adults all over the world, by offering virtual and in-person group and individual art lessons for all ages, family & friend paint parties, and lastly, therapeutic, healing & expressive arts groups that will grow into art therapy sessions once she becomes a licensed Art Therapist.

This will allow her to continue to make a huge positive difference in this world, and fulfill her true purpose.
